Damon "Boobie" Bates

The Man Behind the Brand

Damon "Boobie" Bates

Born in Chicago, IL, but raised in the small town of Marion, AL, Damon discovered he had a God-given gift at 13 when he first touched a pair of clippers. Cutting his friends & fellow peers, he didn't know that becoming a barber would be his calling.

His humble beginnings started in his mother's backyard in a 10x10 storage shed, where winters were cold, and summers were hotter than hot. Working hard to hone and develop his craft, he became the "community barber."

For Damon, he had bigger goals than just being the "community barber." He relocated to Tuscaloosa, AL, where he completed the barbering program at Shelton State Community College.

Damon's slogan is "It's not just a haircut. It's an experience." Changing someone's appearance and feelings is the best way to achieve customer satisfaction, on top of the barber lifestyle and being successful.
